Empowerment Rather than Powerlessness
For the last 80 years, we've been teaching people that the first step to recovery is admitting powerlessness over one's addiction. I believe this is unscientific. Research shows that empowerment is far more effective than feeling helpless against the addiction. I teach you where you have power and how to increase it.
Recovery is a Mindset
Perhaps somewhat radical and controversial to some, I do not believe in sobriety as the measurement of recovery. Rather, recovery is a mindset that one develops and achieves. When you are no longer mastered by the addiction and feel at peace and in control of your life, that's recovery.
Grace is Better than Guilt
In any addiction, shame becomes a cycle that keeps you trapped and actually leads to more acting out. I teach you how to turn setbacks into learning opportunities and show grace to yourself in a way that reduces shame and promotes freedom.

I believe in permanent healing. This can only happen when you find and heal the roots of the problem. Just like a tree can come back to life even if it's been cut down, if you only change your behavior and don't kill the roots, your issues will resurface in the future.
True Freedom is Possible
Most approaches focus on behavior modification and surveillance (a.k.a. accountability) to prevent relapses. I believe the only way you will truly be free is when you can stare temptation and opportunity right in the eye and feel at peace, not feeling that you need it at all. Due to the ever-present and ultra-available nature of porn and sexual content, you will never be able to hide from this addiction. True freedom is having unlimited access and being in complete control of yourself with no desire to act out.
